Fire Safety Law

If you’re an employer then you are legally responsible for your staff and customers. If you’re an owner, landlord or occupier of business or other non-domestic premises you must comply with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. The legislation also applies if you have paying guests or let a self-catering property.

If you have more than five employees then you must be able to demonstrate that each employee has a basic understanding of fire safety training, with a nominated trained fire marshal on-site. It’s recommended that additional staff training is carried out every 3 to 5 years. We have the answers.
